CMA Fest attendees are up in arms after seeing Eric Church's festival performance Saturday night. It appears a lot of fans were upset by his show, and they took to Twitter to air their grievances. It appears some fans were expecting a little more from the headliner, especially considering his comment at the start of the set announcing he "had nowhere to be."

On the social media platform, there were many who wrote they were "disappointed" at his performance for a number of reasons. The biggest seems is just that they wanted more of the songs they knew from their favorite country star. Others said the ending felt "abrupt," and that he didn't play enough songs.

"Eric Church ends very wierd set and disappoints 50,000 fans. I don’t know if he was pissed off at the CMA or what. Lights come on only 4 songs in and it’s done. Major disappointment at the CMAs," one person wrote.

However, many were quick to defend Eric, chalking the show up to outside factors, and even releasing the predetermined set list for all to see. The set included seven songs: "Country Music Jesus," "Bad Mother Trucker," "Hangin' Around," "Drink in My Hand," "Sailin' Shoes," "Cold One," and "Smoke a Little Smoke."

"For all those @ericchurch fans asking what happened last night, he played his full CMA Fest set as planned ending with “Thank you, goodnight!” Perhaps it was the lights coming on that seemed abrupt or maybe attendees were hopeful a special guest would join?," someone wrote. "He did amazing at CMA Fest," someone else said.

So many other people also said they really enjoyed his set, especially his spin on a few songs.

Church has yet to comment on the situation, but whatever the reason behind the mixed feelings, we're sure he will bounce back quickly as fans just can't resist his mesmerizing voice and classic country charm!
