Good Eats: The Return is well, returning! But don't expect to see the show on its usual channel, Food Network. Instead, a brand-new season of Alton Brown's popular cooking series will air on Discovery+ starting Thursday, February 18.

Good Eats originally premiered on Food Network in 1999 and ran for thirteen years. After seven years off the air, Good Eats returned to Food Network in August 2019 with an 11-episode 15th season, appropriately titled Good Eats: The Return. Since then, we've been hopelessly lost without the beloved Alton to guide us. Seriously, you should see all the "unitaskers" crowding our kitchen counters!

But as Alton always says, our patience will be rewarded. Here's how to watch and stream the new season of Good Eats: The Return, as well as old episodes of Good Eats.

Where can I watch "Good Eats: The Return"?

You can catch Good Eats: The Return, which is technically in its 16th season, on Discovery+. The first three episodes will be available on February 18, and will cover bone marrow (aka "God's butter"), cold brew coffee (no, it's not the same thing as iced coffee), and fried breads (yum). The rest of the episodes will roll out every Thursday for the next five weeks on Discovery+.

If you’re a Verizon customer, you might be eligible to get Discovery+ at no cost for up to 12 months. Visit the site for more details. Otherwise, Discovery's new streaming network isn’t free, but you can choose a plan that works best for you, starting at $4.99/month.

Is there anything different about “Good Eats: The Return"?

Not really—and we consider that a good thing! As always, Alton will explore the origins of ingredients, decode culinary customs, and share new food and equipment trends—all with his trademark quick wit, love of science, and knowledge of other cultures.

Beyond the first three episodes, upcoming topics will include immersion cooking, Bibimbap, dried seaweeds, and bagels. There will also be an episode on lactic acid bacteria, which can make fruits and vegetables last longer without sacrificing great taste. But, as Alton likes to say, that's another show!

Where can I watch old episodes of "Good Eats"?

Great news! Every single episode of Good Eats will be available on Discovery+.

“This is hands down my favorite season of Good Eats episodes we’ve ever cranked out and I’m proud to have them, and the entire Good Eats library, finally available in one place," Alton said in a press release from Discovery+.

Can't wait to watch! Are you as excited as we are? Sound off in the comments!
