Epic Games Is Giving Away Loop Hero For Free
Every week, the Epic Games Store gives away a free game or two, free to absolutely anyone who wants to claim it. You don’t need to subscribe to anything or pay a cent, just make an Epic account and claim away. It’s great.
In the past, Epic gave away some pretty big games, like Death Stranding last Christmas (which is leaving Game Pass soon), but most games are definitely on the smaller side of things. That doesn’t mean they’re bad though — and this week’s two games are definitely great games.
The first game which is part of the deal is Loop Hero, a roguelite adventure released in 2021. It was an extremely popular game when it came out due to its genre mashup between turn-based RPG tactical combat, and roguelike elements.
The description reads: “The Lich has thrown the world into a timeless loop and plunged its inhabitants into never ending chaos. Wield an expanding deck of mystical cards to place enemies, buildings, and terrain along each unique expedition loop for the brave hero.”
If you download Loop Hero before Thursday, August 10, 2023, you’ll be able to keep it for life.
The other game that is part of the offer is Bloons TD 6. This is a cutesy-style tower defense strategy game, where you set up fighters to defend your base. Bloons is also available to keep if downloaded before August 10.
The description reads: “The Bloons are back and better than ever! Get ready for a massive 3D tower defense game designed to give you hours and hours of the best strategy gaming available.”
Loop Hero is available for both Windows PC and Mac users while Bloons only works with Windows. In order to play these games you will need to install the Epic Games Launcher on your PC.
