Epic Day In NYC History: New Brooklyn Banks Footage!

How sweet it is! After years of waiting, the Brooklyn Banks and the city of New York have begun their multi-phase reopening of the historic spot.

Today saw the mayor of NYC and several iconic NYC skateboarders descend on the famous 9-stair as the first spot in the reopening. Our man in NYC Alex Corporan was there to get the first licks on the rail and stairs in years.

Amazing. NYC legend Leo Heinert was in there as well as Vans teamrider Kyle Walker. Big shout out to Steve Rodriguez who has worked relentlessly to make this dream a reality with the help of the Skatepark Project. Follow them both for updates.

Our favorite rock n rolling, tennis playing, bartender Marc Razo got some sick flicks too.

All in all it was a majestic day. Spring has sprung and now New York City skaters can add the historic Banks as a spot to hit up as they're cruising all over the city. Gonna be a hot summer! Stay tuned!
