EP County holds community clean up event in Montana Vista area

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso County Public Work is inviting the community to a free community clean up this weekend.

According to a news release from the County, the clean-up will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 at 14698 Van Lane and people can take the following trash:

  • Tires

    • Only 5 tires from each resident

    • Maximum collection of 1,500 tires for the event

    • Accepted tires must be 17 inches or smaller

    • Tires from retailers, semi-trucks, equipment-trucks, or those with rims will not be accepted

  • Bulk Trash and Electronic Waste

    • 1 pick-up truck load of trash including furniture, chairs, carpet, etc.

    • Accepted electronics include computers, tablets, scanners, video games, cameras, radios, cellphones, VCRs and DVD players

    • CRT monitors and televisions will not be accepted

Residents are encouraged to sort through their bulk of trash before arrival, according to the County.
