EP Animal Services offer free microchips, pet ID tags

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — In celebration of National Pet ID Week, El Paso Animal Services will be providing free services to the community.

Animal Services will be providing free pet microchips and free pet ID tags from 11 a.m. on 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23 at 5001 Fred Wilson Ave., while supplies last, according to the news release by El Paso Animal Services.

Also, Eastlake Animal Clinic will also be onsite. They will have the rabies vaccine for cats and dogs, Parvo and Bordetella vaccines for dogs and FVRCP vaccine for cats, according to Animal Services.

The community can also adopt dogs and cats during the event. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats. All fees can be waived for any pet that has been at the shelter for over 20 days, according to Animal Services.

“Microchips and vaccinations are essential tools in safeguarding our beloved companions. We urge the community to take advantage of this event, not only to protect their pets but also to find their next furry family member,” said El Paso Animal Services Director Terry Kebschull.
