*Spoilers for Stranger Things 4 below!*

The end of Stranger Things 3 left us hanging with a major cliffhanger about Hawkins Police Chief, Jim Hopper's whereabouts. Fans took to the internet with their theories, thinking that the beloved character could potentially be dead or imprisoned by the Soviets in Russia (because... that's actually a real storyline on this show for whatever reason). Ahead of the Stranger Things 4 release, several teaser trailers revealed that Hopper was indeed the American in the ST3 post-credits scene that took place in a Russian prison.

At the beginning of the highly anticipated fourth season, Joyce Byers receives a mysterious package, which was revealed to be a Russian doll with a ransom note inside it. It was signed "Enzo," a.k.a the restaurant Joyce and Hopper had a date at before the unfortunate events that unraveled in season 3.

It turned out that "Enzo" is really Dmitri Antonov, a Soviet prison guard who threateningly asked Joyce for $40,000 in exchange for Hopper’s transport back to America. Throughout Stranger Things 4, though, his relationship with Hopper goes from guard-and-prisoner to a serious bromance ridden with the anxieties that come with survival. Here's everything we know about Enzo, a.k.a Dmitri, on Stranger Things 4.

Who plays Enzo/Dmitri on Stranger Things 4?

German actor Tom Wlaschiha was one of the many faces who joined season 4 of Stranger Things. You may recognize the 48-year-old actor from Game of Thrones, where he played faceless assassin Jaqen H'ghar, or the Amazon Prime original film, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan.

We were first introduced to Dmitri in November 2020, thanks to an Instagram post by the official Stranger Things account. He was described as "a smart and charming Russian prison guard." I know that's right!

In Stranger Things 4, Dmitri is merely looking to make $40,000 from Hopper's return to America. At first, he's intimidating to Hop but then things take a turn and Dmitri ultimately becomes a prisoner alongside the Hawkins Police Chief. They end up forming an unexpected friendship due to their similar backstories and experiences with fatherhood. The pair also fights a Demogorgon in the Russian prison, sooo that's definitely one way to bond.
