First, we had unwanted alligators breaking into kitchens (and destroying wine) and a furry opossum living inside of a closet for days, but this indoor animal encounter just might take the cake for Worst Thing To Ever Happen, Period. A bed in Queensland, Australia was overtaken by an enormous python when it seemingly fell directly out of the ceiling.

In a now-viral Facebook post by the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers—the 24/7 service in Australia made up of professional snake catchers that'll remove, relocate, and even ID snakes for you—they explain what happened for the python to end up there, and tbh, just reading it is giving me the heebie jeebies.

"The Carpet Python must have been relaxing on the light fitting, and it couldn't handle the weight of the snake and gave way," the Facebook post read. "The snake fell through and landed on the family's bed. Luckily, there was nobody sleeping in the bed at the time...The snake looked pretty comfy on the bed when we arrived."

While the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers explain that it's often hard for snakes to get into homes through the roof and upper areas of the home, this incident was an exception—an exception I'll probably be thinking about every time I lie down in my bed.

Fortunately, no one was in the bed—or even the bedroom—at the time of the snake's descent, so I'm just happy no one got hurt (or spooked) in the process.
