English Bulldog ‘Claims’ Baby’s Car Seat as the Ultimate Napping Spot

If you have a dog, chances are you've found them napping in weird sleeping positions or in weird places. Theodore is an English Bulldog puppy who loves nothing more than napping after getting up from a nap. He sleeps a lot of his day away, and in this video that his mom shared on Saturday, April 20th, he found a very comfy and unexpected spot to fall asleep in.

Theo's mom took her toddler's car seat out to clean it. When it was finally time to tackle the chore, his mom found him napping while sitting up in the seat! Good luck to mom on trying to get him out of there!

The English Bulldog was nice and comfy and wasn't going to move anytime soon! Theo's absolutely adorable, so I'm sure mom just let him stay in there...how could she say no to those eyes and that face! Commenters couldn't quit saying how cute Theo was, and to let him stay in there. @beetlegoose pointed out, "To be fair that looks extremely cozy. I want to be Theo in a car seat!" @dawnhughes07 said, "It's comfy and smells of his baby sibling, Theo is happy!" and @Amilia Friesen added, "If it fits it sits!" And no video like this would be complete without what @Charming Charms says, "He's just a baby!"

How Many Hours a Day Do Bulldog Puppies Sleep?

After checking out some of Theo's other videos, it was clear that he sleeps...a lot! So I did a quick search to see just how many hours a day that bulldog puppies sleep, and let's just say they spend more time sleeping than they do awake. According to The Bulldog Blog, puppies and older bulldogs sleep 16 to 20 hours a day! I wish I could sleep that long!

Clearly if you're an active family an English Bulldog might not make the best pet for your since even as adults, they spend at least half the day sleeping. They are pretty lazy dogs that can be playing and running around one minute, then snoring the next minute...literally. They seem to be the ultimate couch potato dogs.

I think that these dogs make great pets - for the right families. There's always pros and cons that come with any dog breed, and bulldogs have some great pros. They are known for their goofy personalities and will definitely keep you entertained. My brother had one and just watching him walk would make us laugh. They love their humans and are great with children and other animals, which is always a plus. They don't shed much and aren't known to be barkers...also pros.

However, these dogs are an expensive breed to own because of their health problems. Their skin and wrinkles make grooming a constant, and often lead to food allergies, which can be costly. Did I mention they snore (and pass gas) often and loudly?

I think these dogs are beyond cute and watching videos of them, but I don't know if they'd be a great pet for my family. It's good to do your research before bringing home a pup. Just because it's cute doesn't mean that it will fit into your lifestyle. Without learning about the breed, you really don't know what you're getting yourself into.
