'Enchanted ‬Island' returns to Ellis Lake on Saturday

Apr. 18—On Saturday on Delamere Island near the gazebo at Ellis Lake in Marysville, the Mary Aaron Museum will be presenting its spring children's program called "The Enchanted ‬Island."

Scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to noon, the event is expected to be a magical affair for kids.

"Grab your fairy wings and magic wands. Come to the Enchanted Island. Follow the magic mushroom trail to the story huts where the fairies, storytellers and wizards will be waiting for you," organizers said. "If you ask politely, they might share a story or two. Stay on the trail until you have discovered all the story huts there be. At the end of the trail you will spy the Magic Spell Shop. Enter only if you dare, for therein an old wizard guards the magic potions you will end there. Then onward to have your fortune told ... while you gaze into a crystal ball. Nibble on a cookie or two. Don't forget to enjoy a cup of nature's brew. But most of all leave the Enchanted Island having learned something new.‭"

Organizers said through a partnership with the Alliance for Hispanic Advancement, there will be bi-lingual storytelling available.
