Emmys 2018: Emilia Clarke's See-Through Dress Was an Optical Illusion

When we talk about Emilia Clarke's style, most often we're talking about her ever-changing hair color. The Game of Thrones star is known for going back and forth between dark brown and platinum locks and everything in between. For the 2018 Emmy Awards, it was her more than just her beauty look that had everyone talking, it was her stunning — sort of — see-through gown.

For the event, the actress wore a black full-length gown that came complete with intricate floral details embroidered throughout the dress. While the skirt was more of an opaque lace, the top was a light layer of fabric that was completely see-through. It was an optical illusion, however, as there was a nude layer below the lace to keep it from being totally naked. She completed the look with some Khaleesi approved jewelry. On her hands were several rings that included snakes and moons and her earrings were mismatched styles that she somehow made work.

Like in several years past, Emilia is up for several awards with her GoT cast members. She's basically an Emmys pro at this point and her outfit certainly proves it.
