Emma Watson's environmental activism is well documented. An early adopter of sustainable fashion, Emma has frequently used red carpet events to publicly make ec-conscious choices, from wearing ethical brands to opting for vintage looks.

But living sustainably is more than just a photo op for the actress and entrepreneur. Even her newly launched gin brand, Renais, created with her brother, Alex, in April of this year, implements sustainable practices – from using salvaged grape skins, solar-powered stills, and biodegradable mushroom packaging.

So it was no surprise to see Emma once again making a conscious sartorial move, arriving on day thirteen of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in a dress we recognised. Emma opted to re-wear a white lace Oscar de la Renta mini dress with black bow detail across the bust and shoulder, paired with simple black sandals and a black shoulder bag.

While Emma's 'fit aces the Wimbledon dress code (see what we did there?), it also earns the star major sustainable style points as she first wore this exact lewk waaay back in 2017 during the Beauty and the Beast press tour. Yep, no longer a fashion faux pas, outfit repeating is officially chic AF.

Emma looks practically unchanged in the six years since she first debuted the Oscar de la Renta number. She did switch up her accessories though as she originally wore black courts and black stud earrings with the dress but opted for white pearl earrings at Wimbledon.

It was on the press tour for the Disney film that Emma really began to champion sustainable fashion, creating an Instagram account dedicated to showcasing and explaining the eco-credentials behind each of her looks. And it turns out the custom lace mini was an environmentally conscious choice then, too.

In the post, Emma details how the mill is implementing sustainable practices and aiming to reduce its environmental impact, while the construction of the dress utilises a repurposed zipper and the bow detail is actually a 100% cotton t-shirt tied around her bust from the brand, Mainline Basics.

From rental fashion sites to shopping at vintage and charity shops, it's now easier than ever to make sustainable fashion choices, and we love that Emma is providing plenty of eco-style inspo. Snaps for a sustainable fashion kween!
