Emma Watson and Amanda Seyfried are reportedly the latest celebrities who are victims of a private photo hack, and according to The Huffington Post, both actresses are allegedly taking legal action in response to the leak.

In Emma's case, they were private photos that she reportedly did not want shared. Her publicist gave a statement to The Huffington Post, explaining: "Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen. They are not nude photographs. Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further."

The leaked photos of Amanda, according to TMZ, included "intimate moments" with her boyfriend. TMZ has obtained the letter sent by Amanda's attorney to the website allegedly hosting her photos. The letter demands that the pictures be taken down: "Your unauthorized use and distribution of the Seyfried Photographs constitutes, at a minimum, copyright infringement, violation of Ms. Seyfried’s right of privacy under applicable law, and tortious conduct under state and common law."

At the time of writing, it is unclear as to whether or not the two leaks are related. But this serves as an important reminder that it's never okay to look at photos of someone that were taken from them and published without their consent. Situations like this are a huge violation of privacy, and by not looking or sharing the photos, you can help support the right to privacy that we all have.
