Emma Stone’s Take on the Ribbon-Choker Trend Involves a Lot of Bling

Well, the rosette ribbon choker officially has Emma Stone's seal of approval. And the crystal-and-pearl-encrusted flower she wore to the New York City premiere of her new movie Poor Things on December 6 may just be the sparkliest version of the Marie Antoinette–inspired jewelry trend I've seen yet. Not that Stone let her necklace do all the talking with this look. Her semisheer and crystal-embellished gown was equally—as the beheaded former queen of France might say—au courant.

Stone's figure-skimming yellow dress has an illusion mesh panel at the neckline and rough-edged cutouts throughout the fabric, giving the whole gown an organic, mossy look. You can just see the actor's legs from behind the cleverly see-through skirt, which is what all the girlies are doing these days.

But back to the necklace.

The stunning choker featured a gold flower design with open petals encrusted with tiny pearls and white crystals to complement the glittering beads that decorated Stone's gown. The blingy flower is attached to a black velvet ribbon, tied in a long-tail bow around the neck, which offered a contrast to the sunny color of the dress.

The rosette ribbon choker is having a bit of a moment right now. Versions of the style have lately been seen on the likes of Hailee Steinfeld and Paige DeSorbo. Though nobody's take on the trend has made me gasp quite like Emma Stone's—yet, that is.
