Emma Stone Sparks Massive Engagement Rumors Due to Ring Finger Accessory

The Oscar winner was spotted with a shiny new rock on her left hand.

Is that what we think it is?! Emma Stone has rumors buzzing over her and filmmaker Dave McCary, after she stepped out in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 4, with some noticeable new bling on that finger.

Dressed in a light coat, a black cap, jeans, and a pair of Mansur Gavriel mules, the Oscar winner, 30, clutched her wallet in a manner that gave prying eyes a glimpse at her ring collection—which included a shiny new rock on the fourth digit of her left hand.

The two met on the set of Saturday Night Live, which Stone hosted in December 2016 (McCary is a segment producer for the show). And by October 2017, reports were swirling that the two had been an item for “months.”

By January 2019, they had finally (finally!) made their big public debut—sort of. Rather than walking the red carpet together at the 2019 SAG Awards, the low-key couple sidled up to each other inside the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall, where the event was held.

It’s entirely possible that The Favourite star simply ran out of other fingers to place her stunning piece. The ring in question, which appears to have a gold band with a large center stone, is flanked by two others on her middle and pinky fingers, as Elle notes.

Then again, she also wouldn’t be the first actress to announce an engagement with the not-so-subtle move: Stone’s pal Jennifer Lawrence also let her ring do the talking after recently getting engaged to fiancé Cooke Maroney. And Issa Rae seemed to announce her engagement by simply appearing on a magazine cover sporting some new bling.

While we can't be sure of anything yet (after all Kylie Jenner also loves to tease fans with diamond rings but continues to assure she isn't engaged), let's keep our fingers crossed for a La La Land wedding.
