The Oscars 2024, officially known as the 96th Academy Awards, took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday. Celebrities came well-heeled for the event in standout footwear. Here, FN takes a closer look at some of the best shoe moments on the red carpet, from Emma Stone to Billie Eilish.
Colman Domingo
“Rustin” and “The Color Purple” star Colman Domingo stuck with Louis Vuitton for the Academy Awards. Headed by Pharrell Williams, the brand’s menswear arm turned out a pair of gold-tipped cowboy boots for the star. The boots feature contrast stitching and were selected by stylists Wayman Deon and Micah McDonald.

Billie Eilish
Wearing Chanel, Billie Eilish went with a variation of a schoolgirl look on the red carpet in prim and ladylike heeled Mary Janes. Stylist Andrew Mukamal paired the shoes with white high socks.
Emma Stone
While there was a considerable amount of dark footwear on the carpet, Emma Stone went bright. The “Poor Things” star wore a pair of sky-high mint pumps with a pointed toe styled by Petra Flannery. The start wore Louis Vuitton.
Sandra Hullier
German actress Sandra Hullier’s tall Schiaparelli heeled mules stuck out of the back of her gown. The “Anatomy of a Fall” performer’s shoes featured a curvy gold heel on a piece of footwear that was otherwise black. They were styled by Jordan Johnson Chung.
Issa Rae
Issa Rae attended the Oscars in a simple black heeled sandal. From Gianvito Rossi, the shoe is secured by nothing except a single black pantent leather strap across the toes. Wouri Vice styled the look.
