Despite announcing their engagement in December of 2019, Emma Stone and Dave McCary have kept their wedding plans quiet. However, after months of speculation, the couple appears to have officially become husband and wife, People reports. According to the outlet, a source confirmed that the two are indeed newlyweds; they were even spotted wearing matching rings in recent weeks.
While the big news is now being confirmed by those close to the pair, fans have previously speculated that Stone and McCary tied the knot. Stone joined Reese Witherspoon's series Hello Sunshine in mid-May sporting a gold band rather than the pearl engagement ring featured in the the engagement announcement her fiancé posted after he popped the question. The actress also eluded to the fact that she might have already been married at that point during the interview regarding marriage and mental health. "If you marry an anxious man, you're going to have to know me the rest of my life," fellow guest, Dr. Harold Koplewicz, joked. Stone responded: "Thankfully, I didn't do that."

This milestone in their lives comes after three years of dating and a culmination of love and support they have shown each other—personally and professionally. "She is professional in every way, very talented and focused on her work, and Dave respects that," a source previously shared with People. "He totally supports her, and is unselfish in his desire for her success. Those are great qualities in a man for someone like Emma. She is impressed by his talent and respects him immensely."
The insider added that while the two stay busy when it comes to their work, they make sure to help each other balance it all. "Two highly successful people in the entertainment business don't always give the other the space they need," the source said. "But he encourages her, and she loves that."
