Emma Stone looks unrecognizable in a still from upcoming movie Poor Things.

The photo shows a raven-haired Stone with a wavy mane that reaches her waist, standing in front of co-star Ramy Youssef while wearing a yellow tunic.

Fans were shocked by the transformation and noticed that the actress looks a lot like another celebrity: Lorde.

The image went viral, with fans of both the actress and the "Perfect Places" singer tweeting about the uncanny resemblance. The comments make sense, as Stone's hair is styled similar to Lorde's, and a still featuring Stone lounging on a reclining chair resting on a boat looks straight out of Lorde's Solar Power era.

The black hair didn't last long, though. In recent pictures from South by Southwest, Stone was photographed in her signature red locks.

For Poor Things, Stone reunites with The Favourite director Yorgos Lanthimos. The period drama is based on the 1992 novel of the same name by Alasdair Gray.

It tells a fantastical story of a woman named Bella (Stone), who is brought back to life by scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe), who implants the brain of her unborn child. Under the control of Dr. Baxter, she seeks freedom, running off with a lawyer called Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo).

In addition to Stone, Youssef, Ruffalo, and Defoe, the film features other all-star cast members, including Emmy nominee Margaret Qualley, Girls alum Christopher Abbott, and comedian Jerrod Carmichael, who is behind the critically-acclaimed HBO Max comedy special Rothaniel.

The film is slated to be released theatrically on September 8 under Searchlight Pictures.
