The stars brought their footwear a-game to the Variety-hosted event, donning a myriad of unique and classic silhouettes that complemented their ensembles.
Emma Stone
Star of “Poor Things”, Stone donned a pair of black patent leather Givenchy Show pumps in a slingback style. The footwear was comprised of shiny patent leather uppers that transitioned into sharp pointed toes and thin but sturdy ankle straps threaded through adjustable buckle closures, securing the style in place. 3.75-inch stiletto heels rounded out the set. The designer pair currently retails for $895 on Neiman Marcus’ website.
Accompanying her sleek slingbacks, Stone was outfitted in a lace-trimmed Givenchy dress in a suiting-inspired style. The garment was belted, creating shape.
Penelope Cruz
Repping the 2023 “Ferrari” movie, Cruz sported a pair of sleek black peep-toe platform heels. The sky-high footwear was comprised of matt leather uppers that transitioned into breezy open toes and thin ankle straps that were threaded through gold buckle closures, securing the platforms in place. Thick platform soles and block heels finished off the set.
Always and forever a Chanel girl, Cruz was outfitted in a “Clueless” esque ensemble from the French brand in bright pink and black plaid. The tweed set featured an asymmetrical skirt accompanied by a matching cropped jacket and a black form-fitted top. During the event, the thespian received the Creative Impact in Acting Award.
Anna Kendrick
Kendrick was honored during the event for her directorial debut “Woman of the Hour.” For the occasion, the thespian donned a pair of Gucci Angel platform heels in black. The lofty pair featured sleek black Nappa leather uppers that featured crescent-shaped cut-outs accompanied by pointed toes, thick platform soles and T-shaped straps that traveled up the star’s feet and around her ankles. 4 to 5-inch block heels finished off the daring set.
Complimenting the sophisticated style, Kendrick wore a sequined black Self-Portrait dress featuring ample pocket detailing and ornate button closures.
Danielle Brooks
In attendance for her part in the 2023 remake of “The Color Purple,” Brooks donne a pair of black leather shoes. Although they were slightly eclipsed by her trousers, the classical silhouette featured glossy black leather uppers with rugged stitching and rounded toes. Rubberized soles rounded out the set, offering Brooks with a reliable non-slip fit.
Along with her all-black footwear, the “Orange Is the New Black” star wore a black and white pajama-esque ensemble comprised of a black and white trimmed robe-like jacket and matching tailored trousers. Silver star brooches decorated the lapel of Brooks’ jacket, giving her look a touch of shine.
