Emma Stone Gets a Perm With Her Makeup Artist Rachel Goodwin

Can we get an invite next time?

Emma Stone, actress and wearer of too many amazing hair looks to count, has a perm now. According to an Instagram post from her friend and makeup artist, [Rachel Goodwin], the pair have decided to add a little more movement to their 'dos. In a caption that accompanied a photo of both women mid-perm, Rachel proclaimed, "We have a permanent bond! Some friends get tattoos, well we get perms! We’re here to tell you that they are BACK and they're not your grandma's perm! Especially when you are in the amazing hands of @mararoszak and @bykileyfitz at @mare_salon."

The hilarious photos got plenty of laughs from fans, although it seems that everyone is waiting with bated breath to check out the final results. Emma has always had a knack for sharing her best mid-glam moments (who could forget her lip mask reveal from last year's Golden Globes?), capturing the relatable moments before she debuts a new look.

For those wondering about this particularly Insta-worthy moment, this is definitely not the same perm that brought the iconic '80s hair. As Glamour notes, this is called a "digital wave," and the result is a little more tousled. It was copyrighted in Japan by a company called Paimore Co. and uses the hair's natural wave. (It's digital because it requires heat where a normal perm is created using a solution.)

Unfortunately, the only "after" image that Rachel showed us was wet hair, but we can imagine through one quick scroll through Kiley Fitzgerald and Mara Roszak's feeds that the result is going to be amazing. Plus, Emma is honestly rocking the mid-perm look already, so the final result is bound to be even better.
