Emma Stone just took home her second ever Oscar for her role in Poor Things and gave the sweetest shoutout to her daughter.

Stone, 35, is a proud mom to a daughter named Louise Jean McCary, with her husband Dave McCary but the actress rarely gives fans an insight into her personal life. However, we did get the rarest of mentions when Stone accepted her Best Actress award on March 10, mentioning her toddler at the tail-end of her speech.

“I know I have to wrap up, but I really want to just thank my family, my mom, my brother Spencer, my dad, my husband Dave, I love you so much,” she said, all while tearing up as she spoke. “And most importantly, my daughter, who’s going to be 3 in three days and has turned out lives technicolor. I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.” Yep, we’re crying too!

Stone became a mom in 2021, a year after tying the knot with McCary, a Saturday Night Live segment director who she began dating in 2017.

The talented actress has given almost no interviews about her experience as a mom, choosing instead to keep her daughter entirely out of the public eye. Sources, however, did give a rare insight into Stone’s family life back in 2021 to People.

“Emma is close to her family and good friends but not the type to flaunt her personal life. Dave respects that about her and is the same way. They have a great life together and support each other,” a source claimed.

Another source told E! News: “Being pregnant and experiencing motherhood has been an incredible experience that she has loved.”

“She couldn’t wait to meet the baby and it has been everything and more. They are thoroughly enjoying down time at home and just being with the baby. They are adjusting well to being a family of three.”
