Emma Stone looks like the most glamorous mermaid at tonight’s Oscars.

The actor walked the red carpet at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre in a lovely aquamarine custom Louis Vuitton look composed of a strapless corset top with a dramatic peplum detail, and a floor-length skirt; both pieces were embossed with an intricate seashell-like pattern. Stone paired the set with a stunning white diamond choker necklace with a massive yellow diamond at the center, plus white diamond studs and rings. She wore natural makeup and a delicate wavy hairdo.

Stone is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role tonight for her performance as Bella Baxter in Poor Things. The Yorgos Lanthimos–directed sci-fi romance tells the bizarre and fantastical tale of Baxter, a dead woman returned to life with the mind of a child, by an unorthodox scientist. The film has a whopping 11 nominations tonight, including Best Picture, putting it just behind Oppenheimer, which has 13.

In the Best Actress category, Stone is up against Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), Carey Mulligan (Maestro), Sandra Huller (Anatomy of a Fall), and Annette Bening (Nyad). Lanthimos is also nominated for his direction of the film.

Stone’s last major award show was the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards, where she lost the Best Actress award to Gladstone—and immediately went viral for her positive reaction. (See this video of her clapping ecstatically).

Stone also attended the Golden Globes, in January, where she took home the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical.
