After Roberts teased her BFF in a new interview, fans are doubling down on the conspiracy surrounding this former 'Glee' star.

Emma Roberts finally addressed the fan conspiracy that her friend and former Scream Queens co-star Lea Michele can't read.

During her recent appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live hosted by Andy Cohen, the show segued into virtual interviews with questions directly from fans. And when one inquisitive soul asked Roberts for the biggest "misconception about Lea Michele," the 31-year-old actress struggled to answer the question.

Instead, she gushed about her pal, revealing that watching Michele, 36, perform on Broadway made her cry, "She's so down to earth, so talented, and [she] deserves everything she's getting with all the 'Funny Girl' praise."

After her supportive little speech ended, Cohen circled back to the original question with a response: "The biggest misconception is that she can't read," he said with a shrug, pushing for an answer to the years-old theory circulating social media platforms, like TikTok and Twitter, suggesting that the former Glee star can't read or write.

"Well," Roberts said, grinning, "I'm mean, we've not been in a book club together, but," she joked.

"No, she's–" Roberts mumbled before her guest star on the show, Modern Family alum Julie Bowen, 52, cut her off.

"Why is reading so important?" Bowen interrupted, concluding, "Let her not read if that's what she wants."

Shortly after the episode aired on Jan. 24, the clip did numbers online with many YouTube comments taking Roberts' statement as literal and only further fueling the idea that the actress is illiterate.

"She has yet to prove that she can read... I'm just saying," one user alleged.

"Still no firm denials about Lea Michele’s reading ability. Not even from Lea herself I think. Let’s keep this rumor going," another assumed.

Michele laughed off the conspiracy that she can't read or write when it first appeared in 2018. However, following the news that the actress would be heading to Broadway to replace Beanie Feldstein as Fanny Brice in the musical loosely based off Brice's life, the theory found a resurgence in popularity.

She has since denied the rumor, and in Sept. 2022, told the New York Times the claims were rooted in misogyny. "I went to 'Glee' every single day; I knew my lines every single day. And then there's a rumor online that I can't read or write? It's sad. It really is. I think often if I were a man, a lot of this wouldn't be the case."
