Emma Roberts Is Officially a Brunette Again

Emma Roberts is back to brown hair, y'all. After stints as a blonde and even a redhead, colorist Nikki Lee of L.A.'s Nine Zero One Salon has taken Roberts's shade to a chocolate brown she refers to as "classic brunette."

Roberts's sharp, middle-parted bob style complements the new, deep shade. The brown color is darker near the roots and subtly lightens as it reaches the ends. She even darkened her naturally-brown brows, bringing a chic monochrome feel to the overall look.

"Emma’s the queen of change and wears it so well every time," says Lee. "What I love the most about when she’s brunette is how much it brings out her eyes and suits her skin tone. It’s one of my favorite colors on her."

Lee broke down exactly how she colored Roberts's hair in her Instagram caption, calling out the formulas she used for fill, base, ends, and gloss. For us non-stylist laypeople, the most important part is the product recommendation — Lee suggests In Common Magic Myst, a repairing, heat-protecting hair elixir, to help keep hair color locked in.

So far, Roberts seems to be enjoying her return to life as a brunette. As she captioned her reveal photo on Instagram, "Back to basics." We're not sure how long Roberts will be content with the simple life, but we're enjoying (and screenshotting) this classic look while we can.
