Emma Roberts Kicks Off Fashionphile Partnership With Accessories Capsule Collection

Emma Roberts has had a lifelong love of vintage and thrifted finds, and she’s bringing that passion to her latest role.

The “American Horror Story” actress is partnering with luxury resale platform Fashionphile as its newest brand ambassador. To kick off her appointment, Roberts has curated an accessories capsule collection of some of her favorite vintage and thrifted pieces.

“It makes it more fun to get dressed when not everything is new and fresh off the runway, but instead holds a story or is something that maybe nobody saw from five years ago that you found,” Roberts said. “As we know in fashion, everything old becomes new again, so I just feel like seasons don’t really matter as much as they used to with everyday fashion. I just love that so many more people are leaning into that.”

Roberts’ curated Fashionphile collection offers handbags, watches, belts, scarves and jewelry across brands like Hermès, Goyard, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Dior and many others. Prices range from $190 for a Tiffany & Co. sterling silver ring to $35,875 for a Cartier white gold diamond ceramic “Love” ring.

The actress explained her love of thrifting started as an activity with her mother, as the duo would go to flea markets every week. She’s continued the practice into adulthood, stating that she visits estate sales, flea markets and vintage stores in new cities where she is filming.

Roberts named two accessories as her favorite thrifted finds. The first, which she sourced from Fashionphile, is a black Hermès Birkin bag. Her second favorite find is a Louis Vuitton antique trunk, which she explained she bought 10 years ago at an antique show for a low price.

“I love thrifting — I just absolutely love finding hidden treasures and especially designer stuff,” Roberts said. “I feel like Fashionphile has the best selection that I’ve seen of not just everyday stuff, but also really cool limited edition designer stuff.”

Accessories have always been an important part of Roberts’ wardrobe. Roberts explained that one of her first prized possessions was her first designer handbag at age 13, which was a light blue Balenciaga Motto bag that she was inspired to purchase because of a similar version worn at the time by Mary-Kate Olsen.

“I was begging my mom for it and I remember specifically saying to her — and she still reminds me — ‘Now that I have so many handbags, I’ll never ever want another bag again if you buy this for me,’ and she was like, ‘that’s not true, but let me think about it,’” Roberts said. “I was like, ‘look it’s half the price secondhand,’ and that’s how I got her to get it for me. So, I’ve always been wheeling and dealing to try to get my designer bags however I can.”
