Emma Roberts Just Debuted Her Baby Bump on Instagram

Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund have some very happy news to share with the world: They’re expecting their first child together.

Roberts announced her pregnancy (which had been rumored since earlier this summer) on Instagram by showing off her baby bump in a flowy white dress. In the first image, it’s just Roberts and her belly, while Hedlund joins her in the second. Roberts also revealed the baby’s sex in the caption, writing, “Me...and my two favorite guys 💙💙.”

The congratulations immediately started flowing in from Roberts’s many celebrity friends and fans. “You will be the greatest mama. I love you Em! Boy moms together,” new mom Lea Michele commented. Grey’s Anatomy star Jessica Capshaw wrote, “Can’t wait to be an Auntie!!! 😘 Also, you couldn’t glow harder if you TRIED!!” Kaley Cuoco added, “Congratulations!!!!! So sweet!!💜💜💜💜💜”

Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund were first linked back in March 2019, after she broke up with her longtime boyfriend, Evan Peters.

At the time, a source  told People the relationship was just casual. “Emma is newly single, and neither she nor Garrett are in the right headspace to be in a serious relationship,” the source said. “They’re just having fun hanging out and hooking up.” Roberts even opened up about the ups and downs of having relationships in the public eye during an interview with Cosmopolitan in May 2019. “Anything ending is hard. Losing something is hard. And the only thing I can say for that is…I’m realizing that life is highs and lows,” she said. “I’m trying to ride them out and live somewhere in the middle. When you’re low, you think it’s never going to end. When you’re high, you’re so scared of it ending. And I’ve lived in both of those places for too long.”

But the relationship has, obviously, progressed since last year. Us Weekly reported the couple was “surprised, shocked, and happy at the same time, and so are their families” about the baby news.
