Right in the beginning of quarantine I read Caity Weaver's advice column in the New York Times titled "I'm Working Remotely. Can I Keep Hiding My Secret Baby?" I laughed out loud for ten whole minutes because every word is funny and also because the concept of someone having a secret baby seemed so bizarre back then. Well, welcome to 2020 baby, where secret celebrity pregnancies and announcements are the only kind of good news we have these days.
It feels like just yesterday celebrities were dressing up in tie-dye sweatpants and singing "Imagine." Now they're somehow all pregnant. Seriously, in 2020 time is apparently but a concept. Things are moving along fast. First it was Gigi Hadid. Now it's Emma Roberts.
Both of their pregnancy announcements came as a surprise. Mostly because none of us know either of them personally or that things were that serious with either of their significant others. But as it turns out, things are serious and famous babies are seriously happening.
Roberts's mom confirmed the pregnancy announcement on Instagram yesterday when a fan asked her if the news was true. Obviously heart emojis were involved. And since this is Roberts we're talking about, outfits were also involved. She is pretty much the only actress that's consistently documented her #ootds during lockdown.
For Roberts's first maternity outfit since the pregnancy was made public, she wore a bag by celeb-loved brand Nanushka and Tory Burch jeans.
