Emma Chamberlain Spends an Ideal Day in L.A.

“I’m a very predictable person,” Emma Chamberlain says. For the YouTube star, a typical day in Los Angeles—her home of a little over a year—involves getting coffee, working out, applying lip balm while she’s driving, going to the beach, and hanging out with friends. She is, after all, an 18-year-old.

Vogue recently went along for the ride, trailing the Bay Area native from a boxing class at Rumble (“It’s kind of like a mixture of therapy and working out,” Chamberlain says) to Target, to her favorite local café, and—just as the sun was beginning to set—to a pretty stretch of Santa Monica sand.

As she flitted from stop to stop, Chamberlain reflected on celebrity: “Going in public is definitely different than it used to be for me,” she says, but “it’s been really cool.” She also shared the secret to being vulnerable on camera and what it's like to make a living doing what you love.
