Ah, Emma Chamberlain — how we "Love ya" for your sense of humor! Ever since the social media sensation stepped off the Met Gala stairs on May 2 after completing her task of chatting it up with fellow celebs for Vogue, we wondered if she was going to address that cringy (yet, so iconic) moment with Jack Harlow.

For a quick refresh, at the tail end of her red-carpet interview with the “First Class” rapper, Emma told Harlow that she would see him inside, to which Jack replied, “Can’t wait. Love ya. Bye.”

Chamberlain, of course, quickly responded “love ya” back before making one of the most hilarious faces and noises that the internet has ever seen. Since then, the moment has been memed to the moon and back, with fans even going as far to call the encounter flirtatious.

On June 22, Emma appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she finally was given a chance to explain the interaction. To get the dialogue started, Fallon played back a clip of an interview he did with Jack where they discussed the Met Gala moment. “That’s like a piece of art because there’s so many ways to interpret that,” Harlow said of the viral clip back in May. “Everyone has a different take on what was going on through her head. So, I’ll leave it up to interpretation.”

Jack was also quick to clarify that he doesn't just throw the words “love ya,” around lightly. “Only if I love them,” he quipped. “I have a lot of warmth to share.”

After watching Harlow's interview clip from his appearance on Fallon's show, Chamberlain said “That's sweet. I love it.”

Chamberlain seemingly confirmed to the host that there was nothing to interpret from her and Jack's quick exchange. “Can I be honest,” she shared with Fallon. “Like, when I’m doing these interviews, blank up here. Like, I have no thoughts. And when I go home, and I watch the interviews again, I'm, like, watching a completely different person. I have no idea I'm not thinking about anything and then I'm, like, reacting to myself.”

Even though that moment immediately caught on with the internet, spawning hundreds of memes and likes, Chamberlain confessed that she thought the clip of her saying Shawn Mendes’ name in an exaggerated New Jersey accent would become the most viral.

“That's the one that I thought was the most funny,” she told Fallon after he played the Mendes name-saying clip. “Like, I thought something was going to happen with that one when I watched it because I was like, ‘Why did I do that?’ But then, the Jack one was the one.”

Emma's talk-show debut with Jimmy comes just a couple of hours after she made a triumphant return to YouTube following her six-month hiatus. The 18-minute video titled "what's good new york" shows the starlet heading to CVS to purchase markers and a white sign, on which she wrote, "PLEASE let me ask you just ONE question for my cute little youtube video."

"This is how I make friends," she said in the clip. "I don't know how to make friends anymore. I haven't made a friend in a really long time. Ugh. This is making me feel like a f**king prank channel."

After speaking with a few volunteers, Chamberlain also stopped by a subway station, visited Times Square, and went to the top of the Empire State Building. "I feel like I'm in Batman," she said on the structure's observation deck.

And while the YouTube sensation rated her NYC experience an "8.5 out of 10," we totally rate her new video and response to that viral moment with Jack a "10 out of 10."
