Eminem’s Autographed Air Jordan 4 ‘Encore’ Is Up for Auction

One of the rarest pairs of Air Jordans ever made is up for auction, and it’s made even more valuable by the man who signed.
Eminem’s autographed Air Jordan 4 “Encore” is now up for bidding through Sotheby’s. The pair is one of just 50 made in 2005 for friends and family of Eminem, who released the album of the same name the year prior. Each of the unworn, size 10.5 sneakers available for bidding were signed by Eminem and feature the inscription, “2005.”

The super-limited Air Jordan 4 features blue suede construction with red and black accents to match the color palette of the “Encore” album cover. Besides the unique color scheme, Eminem was also given his own interior tongue tag with his signature font.
As of publishing, no bids have been made for the auction, which runs until Dec. 18. Sotheby’s estimates that the pair will sell for $40,000 to $60,000. Two years ago, another autographed pair sold for $44,000 in another Sotheby’s auction.
In 2017, the Air Jordan 4 “Encore” was remade with only 23 additional pairs. Only one of them was made available to the public at release, with StockX giving it away as part of a raffle for the Marshall Mathers Foundation. Three pairs in total of the 2017 version have sold on StockX, most recently fetching $24,00 in 2021. The other two fetched $15,000 and $21,000, respectively.
Eminem has collaborated with Nike and Jordan Brand on a number of occasions, including another Air Jordan 4 featuring black Carhartt twill in 2015 that’s sold for as much as $30,000 on StockX. Most recently, Eminem was given a pair of Air Jordan 3s to debut during his appearance in the Super Bowl halftime show in 2022. To date, the sneaker has never gone on sale.
