Emily Ratajkowski Just Gave the "Stretched Lob" a Try
It's her shortest hair look yet.

When you're as big of a supermodel as Emily Ratajkowski, permanent hair changes don't come often—after all, you're pretty much paid to have a signature look. However, that hasn't stoped her from dabbling in the past. Last year, she briefly tried a bright copper color, and a few months prior, she tried out a bixie. However, none of them stuck around that long. This time seems different, though.
On February 7, Emrata was spotted out and about in NYC. In addition to her all-cherry red ensemble, she debuted a hot hair change that shocked us in the best way possible. Though her former bixie cut was clearly faked for a photo shoot, this latest look is the shortest her actual hair has been in years.
A little longer than a typical lob, her new hair fell right under her collarbones—pretty much a lob if you didn't touch it after a month or so. It was a blunt cut and all one-length, and was styled straight from root to end. Every inch of the look was shiny, healthy perfection.

If we had to pinpoint something to call this new look, it's closest to the stretched lob trend that has been taking celebs by storm. Finding its way to the heads of Gabrielle Union, Chrissy Teigen, Alexa Chung, and more, it's "really head-hugging, stretched out—almost a long haircut," celebrity hairstylist and Creative Director of Evo Hair Tom Smith previously told us. It's "pretty much as long as a bob can get before it turns into a long shape."
With her new long lob, Emrata wore a simply glamorous red mini dress. Cutting off in the middle of her thigh, it was skintight from top to bottom. Well, except for the accent of a built-in semi-sheer shawl wrapped around her chest and shoulder. To go with it, she carried a big Jacquemus clutch in the same shade of red, and threw on some strappy black heels. Of course, she also brought the cherry red theme to her lips, with the bright hue peeking out from her new hairstyle.
