Emily in Paris came back for a second season last December just in time for another much-needed round of escapism. Once again, viewers got to traipse through France with Emily (Lily Collins) as she navigated her messy love life, dramatic work life, and comically inexplicable Instagram success. (Plus, we got to take in the hats. So many hats.) But once the new season dropped all at once on Netflix, there were instant questions about whether there would be another. Thankfully, the Netflix gods blessed us all with amazing news not too long after the season 2 premiere: There are definitely going to be more seasons of the show.

Today, we’re officially done counting down the days and it's fair game to pop bottles of Champére (it is meant to be sprayed, after all) because season 3 is finally available! To celebrate, we gathered all the possible intel there is on what’s to come on Emily in Paris. Check it out below.

When is Emily in Paris season 3 happening?

Looks like we're getting an early Christmas present. At Netflix’s Tudum event, the streamer released a brand-new teaser trailer for Emily in Paris season 3, and while we’re still freaking out over Emily’s new look, the release date was also slyly dropped at the end. The series will officially return on December 21 aka today!

News of the renewal first hit this past January, when Netflix took a page out of Emily’s book and made the announcement on the official Emily in Paris IG page. And that’s not all! The show was also renewed for season 4, which means we don’t have to hold our breath when it comes to even more episodes (at least for now).

Check out the special announcement below:

There have been other cast changes, too.

Lucien Laviscount, who played Alfie in season 2, was officially brought on as a series regular for season 3, according to Deadline. ICYMI, Alfie was Emily’s sexy lil London-born love interest in season 2, so hopefully this means we’ll see how their ’ship pans out.

Emily in Paris season 3 will also star an adorable new actor: Paul Forman!

Paul is not only a talented actor (see: his roles in The Spanish Princess and Riches), but he's also kind enough to field questions from Cosmo via email about joining Emily in Paris season 3 as Nicolas de Leon.

"Everything happened so fast!" he said. "I had auditioned for the role and the next day, Darren Star asked to meet me via Zoom. We had a very friendly chat about life and the show and whatnot and then total silence! I firmly believed I didn’t get the role. Then, late one night, out of nowhere, I got a call from my agent that I had the offer. I realize now that I didn’t even have time to process or get too excited because I started work in Paris only two days later. It was important to me to share the news with my parents first, because they wanted it so much for me. My mother, being Parisian, it made her happy that she gets to see her son play a French character in her city. I’m usually discreet so I kept it quiet from a lot of people, some who may only just find out from reading this…Surprise!"

The nicest surprise, if we do say so ourselves. Paul will be playing Nicolas de Leon, a crown prince who is "described as a dutiful executive of his family’s high-powered conglomerate, JVMA. Leading a seemingly charmed life, Nicolas de Leon is put under immense pressure despite his endless source of wealth, status, and access as he tries to prove himself as more than just a nepotism hire."

Paul's definitely excited to join the show and credited the Emily in Paris team for making it a seamless experience. "The first thing that comes to mind is the astonishing team behind it. I had so much fun with the cast and crew, everyone was welcoming and friendly, I’ll always remain incredibly grateful for that," he told Cosmo.

"Sometimes it can be difficult to arrive as a newcomer on an already established show but this little family greeted me with open arms. I’ve made some friendships that I will keep for life and have certainly cherished every second of it! I’m excited to share this season with everyone, from the writing to the actors to the shooting locations, I think we’ve got a great season to show for and some surprises which will shock the audience. Which leads on nicely to this next question!"

The next question being the big one: What can fans expect from season 3?? Tell us your secrets, Paul!

"Having watched the previous seasons, I think it’s fair to say that season three does not hold back!" he obliged. "The stakes are high, relationships get tested and expanded throughout—even the fashion is grander than I could’ve imagined. I guess for me, la crème de la crème of what fans can expect this season, is the introduction of Nicolas de Leon (shouts in a pillow)."

Alright, Paul's been part of the cast for five minutes and we're already in love. 😍 The only thing left to say is this: Merci, Netflix!

Oh, and Ashley Park revealed exclusively to us that there's tons of "juicy stuff" ahead

Ashley recently spoke to Cosmo about her recent collab with Rent the Runway, so ofc we took the opportunity to *also* ask about everything from her character Mindy's story arc to her thoughts on the newest cast members. Needless to say, she spilled some preeeetty major 🍵. "Even after the first season, I never could have imagined what they had in store for her. I really trust Darren Starr and the writers. Mindy’s storyline has unfolded so genuinely, we’ve gotten to peel back so many layers and it’s been so fun to get to know her deeper. I’m excited to keep developing all of the storylines that have come to fruition, especially in season 3. There’s a lot of juicy stuff in season 3," she confessed.

And as for her feelings on newcomers Paul Forman and Melia Kreiling? "Both of them were so superb and really opened up different worlds for Emily and the rest of the cast in terms of work and romance," she said. "It’s always fun to get to know our characters better when new characters are introduced by how their storylines interact. They’re both also such lovely people." Good! To! Know!

And because we were *all* wondering whether or not she's Team Alfie or Team Gabriel (or Team Someone Else, for that matter!) we went ahead and got the scoop for ya. And tbh, her answer IRL is def aligned with the loyal BFF she plays on Emily in Paris. "I’m Team Emily all the way. Mindy’s definitely Team Emily," Ashley responded. 'Kay, we're obsessed!

P.S. If you want a glimpse at everything, there's a teaser.

It looks like there will be plenty more drama, partying, and, yes, chic outfits. And Emily even has a new look. She got bangs! Maybe she’s going for the whole “new year, new me” thing? We’ll have to wait and see!

Regardless of what happens on the show plot-wise, fans will surely want more of the gorgeous locations, over-the-top fashion, and simply lightness Emily in Paris brings. Does it really make sense that Emily’s company would leave her in Paris so long? Who cares! Maybe in season 7, she takes over the business.
