Emily Henderson's Latest Rug Collection Is Shockingly Affordable

Anyone who knows Portland, Oregon-based interior designer Emily Henderson knows that she's always up to something, whether it be penning best-selling books, raising her two adorable children, or styling creative projects. Her latest venture? A collection of beautiful floor coverings that she designed with Rugs USA, her first collaboration of any kind. "We officially started in March of this year," Henderson tells us. "I wasn't sure if that was going to be enough time to create a whole rug line, but working with Rugs USA has been truly the best experience, and I am so proud of what we created together."

The result is a lineup of 22 rugs, all of which boast Henderson's signature look. Think classic stripes, color-blocking, and an array of neutral hues, including blue. "There are few blues I've come across that I haven't loved. Blue is 100 percent a neutral, and boy have I made that abundantly clear in nearly all of my designs—especially in my personal homes," Henderson notes. "I tend to go for blues that are more nature-inspired. Those tones translate best as neutrals because they are inherently calming, at least they are to me." (To us as well.)

Easy palettes and touchably soft textures aside, the designer also leaned midcentury in all the right ways. "We were heavily inspired by vintage Scandinavian textiles. It's no secret that the Scandinavian farmhouse style has been a favorite of mine for a while now, so I really wanted to bring that neural but cozy vibe into the collection."

Even though her pieces tend to skew soft and minimalist, there's enough to work with (from pattern to texture) to use these rugs in any room—no matter what your style is.
