Emily Blunt Sparkles in Lace Gown With Bold Cutouts as She Poses With Her Parents on the Red Carpet

Emily Blunt sparkled as she walked along the red carpet and posed for photos at the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday, Feb. 18.

The English actress wasn’t alone, either; for this awards show, she brought her parents, Joanna and Oliver Blunt, along as her special guests.

Blunt posed for photos alongside her parents and other BAFTA nominees while on the red carpet. In one snapshot, the Devil Wears Prada actress was seen standing between her parents with each of her hands clasping one of theirs.

She wore a glittery gold lace gown that featured bold cutouts around her waist, showing off her toned abdomen, which she complimented with a bejeweled floral statement necklace and a pair of dazzling earrings that peeked out beneath her glamorous updo.

Blunt was nominated at this year’s BAFTAs in the Supporting Actress category for her role in Oppenheimer. She portrayed Katherine Oppenheimer, the wife of Robert Oppenheimer, in the Christopher Nolan-directed film.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph ultimately won the Supporting Actress award on Feb. 18 for her role in The Holdovers. Danielle Brooks, Claire Foy, Sandra Hüller and Rosamund Pike were also nominated.

Blunt has attended several events this awards show season in support of Oppenheimer, often bringing her husband, fellow A Quiet Place star John Krasinski, along for the ride.

The couple’s red carpet appearance at the 2024 Golden Globes in January sparked a rumor with help from lip readers about the couple’s relationship. While some fans claimed they could see Krasinski telling Blunt that he couldn’t “wait to divorce,” a spokesperson for the couple later rejected the claim and said they found the rumors amusing.

Blunt later poked fun at lip readers with help from Selena Gomez, who was also the focus of some lip reading-related drama at the Globes. While at the American Film Institute Awards in Los Angeles last month, the two took a playful photo together in which they covered their mouths with their hands, a joking attempt to prevent additional rumors from spreading.
