Welcome to The Blueprint, where we break down the celebrity looks we want to wear right now and build them back up, piece by piece.

Florals for spring aren’t exactly groundbreaking. But Emily Blunt’s satin-like pants just made a splash on my (cerulean) blueprint.

The Devil Wears Prada actress, 41, visited The Howard Stern Show on April 29, and her pants threw me for a loop. I’ve been seeing breezy bottoms on everyone — Katie Holmes, Meghan Markle, Jennifer Lawrence, Zendaya, and Martha Stewart — but I haven’t seen any shiny pairs this season. She also had on a short-sleeve polo, a preppy style that Jennifer Garner also wore recently, and some platform sneakers.

Blunt’s satin pants looked comfortable and stylish, which is the best of both worlds for spring fashion. Plus, they were nicer than a pair of leggings. And I love that her sneakers and polo are dressier alternatives to walking shoes and T-shirts.

Madewell Collared Pointelle Sweater Tee

Madewell

This polo top from Madewell is made from cotton and has pointelle details, both of which are bound to prevent you from overheating. Plus, it has an open V-neck that’ll keep fabric off your décolletage without plunging too low. And “it easily transitions from work to play,” according to one shopper.

Satin-like pants also have fans in Sarah Jessica Parker and Katie Holmes, which only makes me want them more. This on-sale pair has pockets along with a less stiff silhouette that looks comfy enough to take a snooze in. The elastic waist comes with a tie, which is way more forgiving than a button and zipper. Choose from three colors and sizes XXS to XL.

What good is a comfortable outfit if my feet hurt? When heels aren’t an option, tie up this pair of Vepose sneakers. They’re mostly white, which is a style countless celebs are already wearing this season, but its taupe sole will disguise grime and make them look polished for longer.

Blunt’s got spring style down — and it’s worth trying yourself. Keep scrolling to shop more styles inspired by the star now.
