WARNING: Some Game of Thrones Season 8 spoilers ahead.

The documentary, Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, gives fans an inside look at the making of the show's eighth and final season, including intimate moments with the cast on set. While scenes like the final table read and Kit Harington's goodbye were guaranteed tear-jerkers, Emilia Clarke's last day as Daenerys Targaryen was especially gutting.

Footage in the doc showed Clarke getting her wig put on in the trailer for the last time ever. "There's definitely an exhale of breath," Clarke tells the GoT hairdresser, Candice Banks, of her final stint as Dany. "It's kind of exciting to sort of think: 'Oh, who am I without this, then?' I wonder."

Although her last scene in the show is in the throne room of King's Landing (thanks to Jon Snow), the last scene Clarke actually shot was back up at Winterfell. (It appears to be her tense standoff with the brooding Jon overlooking the battlefield.) "That was Emilia's last shot on Game of Thrones," a crew member announces after she finishes up a scene, and the team cheers. Clarke is seen hugging showrunner Dan Weiss, producer Bernadette Caulfield, and co-star Maisie Williams.

Clarke previously detailed her final day of shooting to BAZAAR.com, saying it was a mix of emotions:

"I started to do a little speech, not because I'm a pretentious actor, but because every time we said goodbye to a character, David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss], the showrunners would give us a gift and the crew would be around and everyone would stop and you'd sort of say a few words and it was really beautiful. I mean, I got three words in before I just completely broke down. You just hold it in and you're holding it in and you're holding it in, and then I just burst into tears like a complete idiot."

Fans, whether they were pleased with the way Game of Thrones ended or not, shared their tearful reactions to Emilia's last scene on Twitter.

Game of Thrones: The Last Watch is available to stream on HBO Go and HBO Now.
