Game of Thrones may be over, but the forever-Mother of Dragons Emilia Clarke is only continuing to soar as she was recently announced as the inaugural global ambassador for skincare and beauty brand Clinique.
The actress recently shared the news in an Instagram post in conjunction with the brand's announcement.
"I'm Emilia Clarke and I am incredibly excited to say that I am the new Clinique Global Ambassador," she said in the Instagram post. "I'm not just that. I am also funny, I am a philanthropist and I am a feeder. I'm also a little bit tired as is my skin, which is why, today, I am going to be using this Clinique iD for tired skin."
The actress' product of choice is the Active Cartridge Concentrate for Fatigue from the brand's Clinique iD line, which uses a custom-blend hydrator for tired skin that is said to "energize and revive" the skin's glow.
In a more extensive brand statement, Clarke expounded on her love of skincare and why she has decided to partner with the over-50-year-old brand.
"I am so proud to join Clinique as the new Global Brand Ambassador. It is a skincare brand I have regularly used and to now be part of that family is such an honor," she shared. "I love the confidence and happiness it brings to the people using their products. Not only is Clinique timeless, but I'm proud to work with a brand that makes people feel included for who they are, and unapologetic about helping them to create great skin — no matter what their skin concern is."
This partnership seems to be a match made in heaven as Clarke has actually opened up in the past about her passion for skincare. While speaking with the folks at Harper's Bazaar UK in 2018, she shared her direct beauty philosophy, which she said she has maintained throughout her life.
"There have been times — and I feel like people have this — where you don't even like looking in the mirror, and you just slap your moisturizer on and don't think about it. But actually, taking the time to stop, and ritually clean yourself, and to take stock, is important," she told the publication. "I was really lucky; my mum always drilled it into me to cleanse, tone and moisturize, wear SPF, and don't wear too much make-up, and your skin will be good. And don't pluck your eyebrows. Those were the basics that I was brought up with."
Well, it seems as it all worked out for the film and TV star as she currently stands as one of the most effortlessly beautiful actresses in Hollywood.
