This might have been the buzziest London Fashion Week in recent memory. Christopher Bailey bid a joyful, rainbow-striped farewell to Burberry; emerging talents like Matty Bovan and Richard Malone had breakthrough shows; and Queen Elizabeth II made a surprise appearance at Richard Quinn—then gave him an award in her name. If you still need to catch up, Vogue’s Editor in Chief Anna Wintour sat down to recap her favorite moments of the week in the video above. Her top shows include Burberry, Simone Rocha, and Erdem. But she also pointed out a big problem with Fashion Week in general: “I think the ritual of going to all the shows has become very stuck,” she says. “You may see beautiful clothes, but because it’s always the same, it does get a little repetitive.” Still, Wintour remains optimistic. “Now that we’re seeing a new generation [of designers] in both London and New York wanting to question everything and do it differently—how exciting and wonderful is that? That’s what fashion should be about.”
