GQ Celebrates Creative Director Will Welch with Donatella Versace, 2 Chainz, and More

Fashion weeks thrive on the new. New clothes. New designers. New ideas. And this Milan Fashion Week, we celebrated something new too: Will Welch's appointment to creative director of GQ. Welch has spent the last three years behind the wheel of GQ Style as editor-in-chief, celebrating the wide (like Brad-Pitt-in-national-parks wide), wild, and unseen worlds of men's style. And last night's party at Dry Milano brought out an equally unique cross section of designers, models, musicians and more of the coolest people we know. A post-show Donatella Versace showed up, as did her new collaborator—on sneakers, not music—2 Chainz. Angela Missoni chatted with Tod's owner Diego Della Valle and Neil Barrett. And Heron Preston, Simon Spurr, and Diesel Black Gold creative director Andreas Melbostad chatted up GQ editor-in-chief Jim Nelson, all to a thumping soundtrack courtesy of No Vacancy Inn's Acyde. Here's who turned up to celebrate our news and the new Fall/Winter 2018 show season.
