Sir Elton John is paying tribute to the late and great Olivia Newton-John.

The Grease actress lost her decades-long battle with breast cancer on August 8, which prompted an outpouring of love from famous friends as they shared memories and sent condolences to her family.

Among them was the British singer, who was a longtime friend of Newton-John’s.

“The saddest of news to wake up to. Olivia was a beautiful and courageous woman, who I never heard complain about her illness. A beautiful voice and a warm and loving friend. I will miss her so much. Condolences to her family and loved ones,” Elton wrote.

His post was accompanied by a collection of photos of the duo throughout the years—with some dating as far back as the ‘70s and ‘80s.

Newton-John and Elton once collaborated for a duet of “Candle In the Wind” on her 1980 TV special Olivia Newton-John: Hollywood Nights.

Pop star Mariah Carey also took to social media to memorialize the singer and activist, recalling the impact she had on her and her career.

“I was also blessed to be in her presence on many other occasions and she was one of the kindest, most generous and lovely people I’ve ever met,” Carey captioned two photos of herself sharing the stage with the “Physical” songstress.

“She will be missed. She will be remembered. She will be loved. Olivia, I honestly love you,” she added.

She followed up by recalling a special performance: “THE Olivia Newton-John walked out onto my stage in Melbourne, Australia and we sang our hearts out together to ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You.’ This is a moment I will never ever forget.”

Rebel Wilson also honored Newton-John, who played her on-screen mom in the 2011 romantic-comedy A Few Best Men.

"@therealonj, you were the most gorgeous lady inside and out, you are a true Aussie icon and to play your daughter on screen in A FEW BEST MEN was beyond an honour," she wrote alongside a behind-the-scenes pic with Newton-John.

"Seeing you star in the huge Hollywood blockbuster GREASE with your natural accent was so instrumental to me as a little girl, helping me to believe that it was possible for an Aussie girl to star in huge international musicals," she explained of Newton-John’s impact on her, adding, "You were the reason I auditioned for my high school production of GREASE at 15 - I was only in the chorus, but it was a start!"

Wilson concluded: "You were so kind to me and it was such a blessing to know you Olivia. I'll never forget us singing at the piano in our lunch break on set together - what a complete legend you are!. I am so sad you are gone 💗 Love and Light always to you ONJ, Rebel xoxo."

Newton-John’s husband confirmed she died “peacefully” at her ranch in southern California surrounded by friends and family. She was 73.
