Ellie Goulding is married, and her wedding dress is an absolute dream
Congratulations are in order for Ellie Goulding. The singer wed her boyfriend Caspar Jopling, an art dealer, on August 31st at York Minster Cathedral in York, England. Goulding and Jopling announced their engagement in August 2018 in a very classy way: an announcement in London’s The Times newspaper. They were first linked in April 2017 when they were seen spending a night out together in Mayfair. Now, they split their time between London and New York City.
Jopling looked as dapper as ever, but all eyes were on the bride, who arrived to the ceremony in a blue Volkswagen campervan covered in flowers. E! News reports that Goulding wore a custom long-sleeved, high-necked Chloé gown designed by Natacha Ramsay-Levi. It was made of silk double crêpe and covered with hand-embroidered white roses and white glass beads. Of course, a dress this beautiful didn’t just come together overnight.
Goulding’s stunning wedding dress took more than 640 hours to make.
We love the handmade silk tulle veil and organza collar, which were reportedly embroidered with the bride and groom’s initials—and took an additional 591 hours to make. Ramsay-Levi said Goulding was very involved in the design process.

Many famous faces were in attendance including royals Sarah, Duchess of York and her daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. Additionally, Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank was one of Jopling’s groomsmen.
Soon-to-be-wed Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were there too. It’s almost their turn to tie the knot.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
