Ellen Pompeo Attempts to Earn 'Cool' Points With Sweet Gift for Daughter Stella

Ellen Pompeo ended her "silent era" on Instagram to share a rare video of life at home with her kids.
In an Instagram Reel shared on Friday evening, the Grey's Anatomy star apologized to fans for going AWOL on the social media platform and shared a recent parenting moment with her teenage daughter, Stella, that didn't go as planned.
The 53-year-old divulged, "Okay, so I was trying to be 'Mom of the Year,' or 'Mom of the Week' or something to the 14-year-old, who is so embarrassed right now."
She continued, "I was like, 'Let me gather some things that are cool, and then she'll think I'm cool,' and you know…I'm just trying to stay cool, right? So look what I did."
The mom held up a box from Hailey Bieber's skincare and makeup line Rhode and explained, "So this was in the mailbox and she saw it in the mailbox." She then turned to her teen, who was standing off-camera, putting her on the spot: "And what'd you say?"
Stella replied, "I thought it was PR."
The actress noted that her daughter thought she was on the PR list and just had it sent to her. "That would make me a cool mom," said Pompeo. "But when she found out that I just went online and ordered it like everybody else, my stock dropped, yo."
She added, "So far, the update is I'm not cool because I'm not on the Rhode PR list. Hailey, are you listening?"
It turns out that Bieber was indeed listening. In the comments, the model-turned-entrepreneur wrote, "*adds Ellen to PR list immediately," adding, "LOVE U SO MUCH!!!!!!" in another comment.
Looks like Pomepo's stock is going up after all!
