Elle Fanning Wears Miu Miu Crop Top and Pants to the Met Gala 2019

If you ever wondered what it would be like to dress up as an IRL charm bracelet, Elle Fanning has the answer for you. The actor stepped out at the 2019 Met Gala in a brightly colored Miu Miu ensemble, complete with the most extra (or should we say, the most camp) nail art imaginable.

Elle was decked out in a two-piece coral outfit, making her look like she was straight out of a 1970s fashion spread. Her tangerine crop top was accentuated with billowing winged sleeves, and her matching bell-bottom pants offered up leg openings so wide, they completely covered her shoes. Around her neck was an oversized charm necklace, which included the words “camp” and “The Met.” We see what you did there, Elle!

But the charm theme didn’t stop there — Elle matched her attention-grabbing necklace to her brightly colored manicure with individual charms hanging from each nail, ranging from an order of fries (yum) to what looks like candy wrappers. Her nails were painted in Essie's strike a rose — a new shade from the brand's summer 2019 collection. She finished the entire look off with winged eyeliner, pastel eyeshadow, and bubblegum pink lipstick — not to mention a flawless high ponytail with zero strands out of place.

Elle’s choice of Miu Miu for the Met Gala carpet makes sense; after all, the actor recently made her runway model debut at the brand’s Fall 2018 fashion show in Paris, where she both opened and closed the show. We have a feeling there’s more red carpets — and catwalks — in store for Elle in the near future; here’s hoping she continues to bring her matching A-game, because it is beyond inspirational.
