Elle Fanning Keeps It Classic in Black Leather Pumps at ‘Appropriate’ Broadway Show Photo Call at Sardi’s

Elle Fanning attended the “Appropriate” Broadway photocall held at Sardi’s in New York on Friday. Beyond Fanning, other notable attendees included fellow actress Sarah Paulson.

For her appearance, the “All the Bright Places” star sported a pair of black pointed-toe pumps. Fanning’s footwear was comprised of high-shine patent leather uppers that transitioned into elongated toes with squared-off ends along with arched leather soles. Short 2 to 3-inch heels finished off the neutral-toned set, offering the thespian a conservative boost in height.

Black pumps are a closet staple for many stars given their versatility. Beyond Fanning, top stars like Eva Longoria, Allison Williams and Taraji P. Henson have worn equally sleek black pumps as of late for formal obligations including photoshoots and public appearances.

Classic and chic, Fanning was outfitted in a suiting-inspired ensemble. “The Neon Demon” actress was outfitted in a black vest featuring shiny button closures layered overtop a crisp white button-down with the sleeves rolled up.

The thespian sported black tailored trousers featuring a slightly baggy construction. Keeping it simple, Fanning rounded out her look with the addition of a dainty shiny silver wristwatch. The starlet’s lengthy blond tresses were straightened and parted down the middle, acting to frame her features.

Fanning has her go-to rotation of shoes for red carpets and appearances. Platform sandals and pointed-toe pumps are the “Maleficent” star’s usual choices, hailing from brands like Miu Miu, Christian Louboutin and Marc Jacobs. In recent months, her feminine style has also gained a sleeker edge and amplified glamour, from towering platform pumps and artsy heels by Cristahlea, Loewe and Mach & Mach.

“Appropriate,” is a darkly comic American family drama Broadway show starring Sarah Paulson and Corey Stoll. The show opens on Nov. 29 at Hayes Theater.
