Elle Fanning Debuted Her Most Dramatic Hair Transformation Yet With a Spring-Ready Bob

When you grow up in the spotlight like Elle Fanning did, every haircut, color, and style is documented for the public to see, for better or for worse. Luckily for Fanning, the actress has seemingly never had a bad hair day, and she has practically become synonymous with her long blonde silky hair that accompanies her on every red carpet — until now.

On Tuesday, the actress debuted her most dramatic hair transformation yet in a series of images shared to Instagram that showed off her new chop: a slightly longer-than-chin-length bright, bouncy bob.

In the selfies, Fanning let her freshly blown-out and light blonde strands fall into her makeup-free face, as well as ran her hand through her refreshed hair to reveal the texture. To ensure that all of the focus was on her new 'do, the actress wore a simple white tank top, green-and-white striped pants, and minimal makeup.

"✂️🌼✂️🌼✂️," Fanning captioned the carousel, in which she tagged her hairstylist Jenda Alcorn. The colorist and stylist also shared a few snaps of the fresh cut on IG, writing, "We did a thing…. ✂️🎨! New look for @ellefanning more on this later, I’m still recovering!!"

This spring is shaping up to be the season of the bob, from Miss Fanning's chic chop to Nicole Kidman's shaggy platinum lob and Sydney Sweeney's layered swooping style. Even Kylie Jenner, who once sported butt-length extensions, debuted a pixie-bob hybrid last month that gave her mom Kris Jenner a run for her money. She even hilariously roasted her momager in the caption, writing, "Kris Jenner is quaking."
