Elkhart Farmers Market returns

ELKHART — The Elkhart Farmers Market will kick off its 2024 season on Saturday, city officials announced.

Located at Kardzhali Park near the downtown NIBCO Water and Ice Park, the market will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will run until Sept. 28, rain or shine.

The Elkhart Farmers Market features locally grown, farm-fresh produce as well as plants, baked goods and handcrafted items.

“We’re thrilled to be celebrating our seventh year in downtown Elkhart,” Event Assistant Maddy Gordon said. “This season promises exciting theme days, live music to liven up the atmosphere, and the highly anticipated return of our loyalty card, a hit with shoppers last year.

Organizers also are expanding the event with a larger lineup of vendors, “ensuring there’s something special for everyone at the market,” Gordon said.

The free loyalty card will reward shoppers who visit the market frequently. For every 10 visits, shoppers will receive a prize donated by a local business. Shoppers who visit 20 markets will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize.

The Elkhart Farmers Market Loyalty Card is sponsored by All Things Snacks, Bird in the Hand, Brass Elk Brewing, The Craftsman’s Daughter, Elite Aesthetics, Gigi’s on Main, Graze by Erica, GreenSpace The Plant Place, Hopman Jewelers, Hotel Elkhart, The Lerner Theatre, The L Wine Bar, Midwest Museum of American Art, Mini Delights Bake Shoppe, The Quantum Realm Institute, Stephenson’s, Vanilla Bean Creamery, The Vine, and Wellfield Botanic Gardens.
