Relationships between sisters can be complicated, but having two older sisters who also happen to be founders of a luxury fashion label can come in handy when you're dressing for your first Emmy nomination, as Olsen was in 2021. For the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards, Olsen tapped her sisters' label, The Row, to create the V-neck gown with dramatic sleeves and a cinched waist.

"Elizabeth wanted to work with her sisters at The Row because who better to understand what is important to her and what will make her feel her best," Stewart, Olsen's stylist, previously told InStyle of the look. This gown definitely delivers on all of Olsen's favorite red carpet elements, from the neckline to the color. Suffice it to say, her sisters know her well.

We're choosing to file this velvet Miu Miu matching set in our mental folder of Olsen's most iconic minidress moments (even though it's technically not one). In fact, if we didn't know for certain that the 'fit the Avengers star wore to the MTV Movie Awards was definitely a jacket and skirt set, we'd have assumed it was. The velvet jacket and matching A-line skirt weren't just seamless, they were seamlessly accessorized with a pair of crystal-heeled Sophia Webster satin pumps and dazzling Van Cleef & Arpels emerald earrings.

Allusion to creepy parasocial fixation aside, the fashion faceoff was adorable.
