Season 5 and 6 of The Crown are officially happening, and we finally know who will play Princess Diana. The series announced on Twitter that actress Elizabeth Debicki, of The Great Gatsby, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, will take on the role.

In a statement, Debicki said, "Princess Diana's spirit, her words, and her actions live in the hearts of so many. It is my true privilege and honour to be joining this masterful series, which has had me absolutely hooked from episode one."

While this is certainly exciting news, fans of the show are still awaiting Diana's first appearance for season four, where she'll be played by Emma Corrin. While the season has not aired, most of those scenes have been shot and viewers have spent months comparing looks of the late-Princess with the show's portrayal.
