Elf on the Shelf failure is daughter's 'villain origin story': 'A menace to society'

A mom is literally giving her blood, sweat and tears to the Elf on the Shelf this year.

Mckenzie Taylor has been strategically maintaining the illusion to her daughter that the Christmas elf is real. So far, her plan has been working too well. In another video, her daughter pummeled the elf after discovering it rifled through her advent calendar.

This time around Taylor was dead set on cutting up her daughter’s pajamas to make it appear as though the elf did.

But her first attempt to cut them with scissors — while the little girl was sleeping — left the mom with a cut-up and bandaged hand.

Her second attempt was much more successful. Taylor’s daughter was definitely freaked out to find her cute kitten pajamas had been mysteriously ripped to shreds. The illusion of magic was maintained once again.

The mom’s hilarious video racked up 3.5 million views on TikTok.

“This elf is her villain origin story,” someone joked.

“I’m definitely doing this to my future children,” a person replied.

“You guys are a menace to society… I LOVE IT,” a TikToker wrote.

“Elf on the shelf was created for parents to bully their kids,” a user said.

“She just wants Christmas to be over at this point,” another commented.
