Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in Grand Canyon National Park

The classic all-American road trip isn't complete without a stop at the Grand Canyon. Electric vehicle (EV) owners don't have to miss out on one of the natural wonders of the world. There are charging stations on the North Rim, South Rim and in the gateway town of Tusayan to keep you charged and ready to explore.

Grand Canyon Village

Location: Maswik Lodge, Grand Canyon Auto Services, Yavapai Lodge

Charger Types: J-1772 and Tesla

What to do while you wait: Hop on one of the park's free shuttles to explore all the best of the South Rim (48 Hour Itinerary LINK). The three-mile, round-trip hike down Bright Angel Trail to 1.5-Mile Resthouse will give you a taste of the inner canyon or opt to stay on the rim by renting a bike from Bright Angel Bicycles and riding Hermit Road. Tusayan

Location: Grand Hotel, 149 S State Route 64, Grand Canyon Village and Grand Canyon Visitor Center, 450 AZ-64, Grand Canyon Village

Charger Types: J-1772 and Tesla Supercharger

What to do while you wait: Head to the Grand Canyon Visitor Center and IMAX where you can watch the film Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets to learn about 4,000 years of Grand Canyon's history. If you'd rather not waste your hard-earned car charge circling for a parking spot later, leave your car in Tusayan and ride the free shuttle into the park to explore the South Rim.

North Rim

Location: North Rim Country Store, Mile Post 605 on Highway 67

Charger Types: NEMA 14-50 outlet

What to do while you wait: Head across the highway to the Kaibab Lodge to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Or, set up your tent at the Demotte Campground to enjoy the beautiful forests surrounding this side of the Grand Canyon.

Chargers are available in the towns of Williams and Flagstaff to the south, Tuba City to the east, Page and Kanab to the north.
